Properties
The pure substance of this product is white powder and soluble in DMF, dichloromethane, toluene, THF and diethyl ether solvent, etc. It has similar reducing capability as LiAlH4 but has better selectivity. N,N-DMF was used to combine with it to form the complex, which increases its stability.
Usage
Zinc Borohydride was used to selective reduction of aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acid and its derivatives, imine, nitrile, epoxy compound, olefin(acetylene), etc. It has good stereoselectivity for chiral molecule.
